Cinnamon rolls have become a popular staple of American breakfasts and we have found the yummiest ones in the Champaign-Urbana area
Please pass the cinnamon rolls! Whether you are looking to bake your rolls at home, or purchase them frozen or ready-to-eat, the Champaign-Urbana area offers many amazing options that are sure to please the palate.
Your grocery store bakery probably does an excellent job satisfying your family’s cinnamon roll craving. And many restaurants and caterers offer cinnamon rolls on their menus. (Like Silvercreek, pictured below, which is one of the absolute best.)
However, this list of locally owned area businesses can help you take cinnamon rolls to the next level, usually at places you can just pop into when the craving hits.

Amy’s Sweet Delights, Royal: You can often find these at Ogden and Homer markets. Amy’s Sweet Delights also sells an assortment of baked goods several days a week at a kiosk near the Art Coop in Lincoln Square Mall. Follow their social media for updates.
Bread Company, Urbana: They make daily, fresh cinnamon rolls in the old style – big and cinnamon-y, but not necessarily dripping in frosting.
Central Illinois Bakehouse: The rolls are available at Pekara Bakery & Bistro, Martinelli’s Market & Deli, area farmers markets, and more. Central Illinois Bakehouse rolls come up again and again when we ask our readers about their absolute favorite. Made with croissant dough, they stand out from the crowd.
Geschenk Coffee Haus, St. Joseph: Cinnamon rolls can be ordered ahead for pick-up. Or its rolls can be purchased individually and make a great addition to any meal.
The Homestead Bakery, Arthur: The go-to when it comes to made-from-scratch Amish cinnamon rolls. The Homestead Bakery offers caramel iced cinnamon rolls, honey yeast breads, and other delectable sweet breads. Good thing these are nearly an hour away, otherwise we’d be eating them a whole lot more often.
Hopscotch Bakery + Market, Champaign: These cinnamon rolls feature top-notch frosting and pair perfectly with a cup of hot coffee (or a glass of cold milk).

Hunny Bunny Bakes, Champaign: Hunny Bunny regularly sells delectable cinnamon rolls “with signature sticky bun caramel syrup and cream cheese frosting” individually or as fresh and frozen six-packs or nine-packs.
Pies by Inge, Monticello: Customers may choose between cream cheese or buttercream icing. Pre-orders of six rolls and more are appreciated. Also sold at Whisk (Mahomet), which is a tad closer than Monticello.

RegCakes, Savoy: This has become C-U’s go-to location for gluten free baked goods, and these vegan and gluten-free cinnamon rolls deliver (just as the rest of the RegCakes line-up does).

Rick’s Bakery, Urbana: Baked fresh daily and made from scratch, Rick’s Bakery offers cinnamon rolls, almond bear claws, and other breakfast pastries.
Royal Donut, Danville: Cinnamon rolls here are awesome and, apparently, the size of a dinner plate.
Silvercreek, Urbana: A couple of chambanamoms team members call this the best cinnamon roll in C-U. See drool-worthy pic above.
Ye Olde Donut Shoppe, Champaign: Ye Olde Donut Shoppe has an amazing yeast cinnamon roll. It tastes like a cinnamon roll glazed donut.
