Champaign-Urbana Weekend Planner – An Orange and Blue Easter

Champaign-Urbana Weekend Planner - Orange and Blue Easter

Find some eggs, enjoy brunch and of course, cheer on the Fighting Illini as they head to the Final Four

Families can choose from many events and activities happening this weekend in Champaign-Urbana

We find ourselves in the midst of a very orange and blue Easter weekend! This is a huge weekend for all things Easter, so go see the bunny, find some eggs, make a brunch reservation (if you can snag one!) and enjoy Easter weekend in Champaign-Urbana.

Of course, the whole town is buzzing for the Illini Men’s Basketball team as they head to Indianapolis for the Final Four on Saturday. Even if you don’t have tickets, we have put together a long list of things you might want to do if you are planning a day trip over to Indy on the day off school this Friday. Open practice, pep rally, slam dunk contest, free concerts and more — there’s a lot of budget-friendly and even FREE fun to be had this weekend a short trip away. I-L-L!

Chambanamoms thanks Chic Kids for presenting this weekend’s planner.

Chic Kids

Chic Kids is a gently used kids’ store buying and selling clothing, shoes, baby gear and toys. Items are purchased every day up until an hour before they close and no appointment is needed to sell. The store is “buy outright”, meaning cash or a check will be offered at the same time items are brought in to sell.

Whether you’re shopping for a newborn, toddler, or teen, their selection spans all of those sizes in everything from everyday basics to standout pieces – all at a fraction of retail prices. When you walk in the front door, there’s also a women’s resale store, Simply Chic, with the same attention to organization, cleanliness and delivering ultra-high value, gently used clothing and accessories.

Saturday, April 4 is Grand Opening Day for both stores. Festivities start at 9 a.m. with an Easter Egg Hunt and visit with the Easter Bunny but continue all day.
