The Easter season means egg hunt fun in Champaign-Urbana and beyond

Bring your children to round up eggs, smile with the Easter bunny and have a great time this spring

Easter is March 31 but there’s lots of fun and “eggs”-citing things to mark on your calendar now to do before then — like egg hunts! Grab your baskets and hop on over to some of the best Easter egg hunts in the Champaign-Urbana area and beyond.

Make sure to pay attention to whether you need to register ahead of time for some of these egg hunts and events.

We’ve also included a few other activities your family can enjoy together to make this Easter “eggstra” special.

Easter Egg Hunts

First, a few tips for egg hunts.
1. Many require advance registration. (This is true for all kinds of events, not just egg hunts.)
2. Some events have different times for different age groups. This can be hard when you have multiple kids, so plan accordingly.
3. Be on time – those eggs go quickly!
4. Don’t forget to bring your baskets, or whatever you use as a “basket.”

Sensory Egg Hunt | Registration Deadline 4/5

Where: Prairie Farm, Champaign

The hunt is on! CUSR invites you to celebrate spring and enjoy some family fun at Prairie Farm! Hunters should bring a basket and be prepared to search high and low for colorful eggs. Be prepared to explore your senses while searching for special eggs with lights, sounds, and textures. Pre-registration is required.

Urbana Park District’s Egg Hunt with a Splash | Registration Required | Deadline 4/5

Where: Urbana Indoor Aquatic Center, Urbana

Eggstravaganaza at Bible Baptist

Where: Bible Baptist Church of Champaign, Champaign
