Indoor sledding, snowball throwing and all kinds of wintertime activities are featured during one of the Orpheum Children’s Science Museum’s most popular events. Available on Dec. 3, 10 and 17.
Does you child like to play basketball? Here’s a national free throw shooting contest at the Brookens Center in Urbana that could land him or her in some exclusive company. For ages 8-13.
Presented by Einstein Bros. Bagels, you can enjoy a free afternoon at the swimming pool! Snacks and treats from Einstein’s will be provided as supplies last. Free from 4-6 p.m.
So the kids are out of school and looking for something to do, right? Swimming seems like a perfect option to release some of that pent-up energy. Available from 1:30-9 p.m.
The Illini open Big Ten play against their rivals on their western border. Game time is 3 p.m.
Enjoy Lake of the Woods with an outdoor adventure! Roam the woods, look for winter wildlife and take part of other fun games and activities (along with some hot chocolate to top it off). $5 per child; registration required.
