These medical professionals go by many names: the gynie, the OB, the baby doctor, or even the baby catcher
Maybe you are thinking about becoming pregnant, or you already are (congratulations!). Perhaps you are new to the Champaign-Urbana area, or perhaps your doctor has retired or moved. No matter why you are seeking a new provider — and regardless of your age or stage — rest assured, there are no shortage of high-quality gynecologists and obstetricians in our community.
Whenever we ask our readers for recommendations for Ob/Gyn health providers, the answers usually number in the hundreds and warm our hearts to read. We are indeed fortunate to have such well-loved doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and midwives in our community.
Please remember that providers may change, may not be accepting new patients, may not have privileges at all hospitals, and may not be a good fit for every person — so be sure to do your own research.
