Summer has come rushing onto the scene and area organizations are planning more summer fun than we think we have ever seen before! Get signed up for those summer reading programs, mark fair and festival days on your calendar and stock up on sunscreen now. It is going to be a full summer!

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for…Sholem Aquatic Center officially opens this weekend! Join Champaign Park District on Saturday, May 23, at 12 p.m. to kick off a summer in the sun!

Prairie Fruits Farm

Prairie Explorers: A Growing Season runs eight weeks across June and July. Each week carries its own theme, from soil science and pollinators to creamery processes and kitchen skills, with daily activities that blend hands-on learning, creative projects, and time outdoors. Sessions are kept intentionally small. With just 8 spots per age group, every child gets real engagement with the farm, the land, and the people who work it.

Savoy 16 + IMAX with Laser

Customers can rent the party room for a $50 fee. You can enjoy the room for an hour before or after your movie, as well as during the duration of the film. Watching a movie is not required to rent the room. Customers can bring in outside food to the party room but not inside the auditorium. Customers can also have a private auditorium for their movie for an additional fee.
