Families can choose from many events and activities happening this weekend in Champaign-Urbana

It is a busy, busy weekend in chambana. We are heading into early spring flower season as the weather warms up. While things are just beginning to green up, you can spot daffodils and other early spring flowers around town. Head to one of our favorite places to enjoy nature, like the Champaign County Forest Preserves or Busey Woods in Urbana. And while we aren’t quite there yet, we will be on “Sakura watch” for the famous cherry blossom trees at Japan House very soon!

We are also aware that many Easter events are going to start happening in the coming weeks; check out the growing list of egg hunts and more now.

Camp of the Week – Indian Acres

Registration open now for all ages; preschool camp is nearing capacity so don’t delay!

Indian Acres Swim Day Camp is the longest standing day camp in the C-U area, known for its excellence in swim instruction. They meet your child in their current skills and work with them at their level to increase confidence and ability in the water. They offer a full day option in addition to their very popular 1/2 day option! Indian Acres Swim Day Camp is a traditional outdoor camp that focuses on physical activity and fun.

Illinois Terminal Division, National Model Railroad Association

Illinois Terminal Division of the National Model Railroad Association presents the 42nd Lincoln Square Train Show. Visitors to this free show will enjoy viewing layouts in a variety of scales and gauge while shopping among vendors of model railroad equipment and supplies. Vendors will also offer railroad artifacts and books alongside representatives of railroad historical societies. ITD operates a make-and-take activity for kids to get hands on experience in basic modeling.
