Juneteenth, Father’s Day, and just a plain old summer weekend are all reasons to celebrate that the weekend is almost here
Families can choose from many events and activities happening this weekend in Champaign-Urbana
We are definitely excited for this weekend in Champaign-Urbana because there are SO MANY different opportunities to celebrate this weekend.
Community organizations are beginning to host Juneteenth celebrations this weekend. Sunday brings Father’s Day, full of events and different ways to celebrate. Maybe dining out with Dad?
June is designated as Pride Month and we also have some Pride events on our calendar this weekend, too.
Visit a pool, a splash pad or just a nicely air-conditioned, outside-of-the-box location here in Champaign-Urbana. Stay cool and celebrate!

OpenCase
Introducing OpenCase—a husband-and-wife-owned start-up with a strong CU connection! When John realized MagSafe accessories on traditional iPhone cases were doomed to slip or slide around, he created the OpenCase MagSafe Case, an iPhone case with a literal “open space” on the back to more securely hold MagSafe accessories in place. No more slipping or sliding accessories when moving the phone in and out of Dad’s jeans’ or gym shorts’ pockets.
Minimalist, more secure and pocket-friendly, it’s the ultimate addition to Dad’s everyday carry—and the perfect gift for Father’s Day.
Get 10% off your one-time purchase at theopencase.com with code CHAMBANA.
