Where you can eat out or order in your Thanksgiving dinner in Champaign-Urbana

 

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, so if you’d like to skip cooking in the kitchen, Champaign and Urbana have a whole bunch of great dine-in or carry-out options for your family’s Thanksgiving table

We are here to help you try some of the delicious Thanksgiving classics that Champaign-Urbana restaurants and caterers have to offer.

When ordering takeout or a family meal to go for Thanksgiving, our advice is not to wait until the last minute. Thanksgiving takeout seems to be popular!

Where to Eat Thanksgiving Dinner in Champaign-Urbana.

Thank you to Common Ground Food Co-Op for presenting this resource for dining options for Thanksgiving dinner.  

Join Common Ground Food Co-Op for their Grab n Go Thanksgiving. Their kitchen and bakery have created a full menu to supplement your special holiday meal. Starting Friday, Nov. 19 – Wednesday, Nov. 24, their Grab n Go case will be transformed with delicious dishes made from scratch using organic and local ingredients. Grab entrees, essential sides, and our seasonal pies and baked goods. Find them at Lincoln Square Mall located at 300 S. Broadway Ave., Urbana.

Perhaps you want to make your Thanksgiving feast, or at least the most important part – the turkey! If you are looking for Where to Order Your Thanksgiving Turkey in Champaign-Urbana, get a leg up on your holiday planning with Common Ground’s turkey pre-orders. Maybe you are searching for the perfect side to take to that holiday meal, or just want to get your whole meal prepared, Common Ground can help you with that.

If you’re planning on takeout for Thanksgiving, some options have deadlines for pre-orders or may have limited availability, so order early. 

We will continue to add to this list, as not all options have been released as of our publishing date. Please note that information was verified at time of publishing, and might be subject to change due to a restaurant’s staffing or supplies.

Dine-In Options:

Denny’s, 702 W. Town Center Blvd,. Champaign: (open 24 hours) Standard menu available, which includes a turkey-and-dressing meal: carved turkey, stuffing, turkey gravy and cranberry sauce with choice of two sides and dinner bread.

Bob Evans, 1813 N. Neil St.,Champaign: Bob Evans dining room will be open on Thanksgiving Day from 8 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. serving hot meals. They also have Thanksgiving feasts to go that can feed up to 10. Packed cold, heat and serve at home; available for curbside pickup and delivery.

OneT’s Cornerpocket, 123 S. Mattis Ave., Champaign: Featuring BOTH dine-in and carryout, OneT’s Cornerpocket is offering Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixins, including over 1/2 lb of turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, mac and cheese, green bean casserole, cornbread muffins, and pumpkin pie. Preorders will be taken until November 24. Dine-in will be ready at 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving day.

Order Ahead Options:

Baldarotta’s Porketta and Sicilian Sausage: 300 S. Broadway Ave., Urbana: Baldarotta’s offers online ordering, meals, and also add-ons. See their Thanksgiving menu here. Orders must be placed by November 21 with pickup on Wednesday, November 24.

Big Grove Tavern, 1 E. Main St., Champaign: Let Big Grove do the holiday cooking for you! Choose from turkey, al pastor-style ham, or bone-in ribeye roast…amazing sides..dessert…and retail wine at a VERY reasonable price. Pre-order NOW on their website. Enjoy brunch Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving, an ever-evolving list of craft cocktails and collection of brown spirits, and a diverse menu of elevated bar food and upscale classics.

Harvest Market, 2029 S. Neil St., Champaign: Dinner for 6 from Harvest Market and Triple S Farms, $98. Reserve your meal at the Harvest Market deli, just heat and serve. Includes turkey, gravy, cornbread, choice of 3 sides and 1 dessert.

Hickory River Smokehouse, 1706 N. Cunningham Ave., Urbana: Dinner includes a whole smoked turkey or half a ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, green beans, and rolls.  Orders must be placed by November 21.  Pickup will be on Thanksgiving Day from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.  Please note the restaurant will be open for pickup of preorders meals only.

Hopscotch Bakery + Market, 802 W. John St., Champaign: Order ahead to pick your choice of their classic pumpkin pie, apple-cranberry cobbler, sweet potato bread pudding, pumpkin cookies, mini pecan pies, brioche pull-apart rolls and/or their rosemary sea salt compound butter.  All pre-orders are available for pickup on November 24 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Industrial Donut, 501 Commerce Dr., Savoy: Preorder a FALL BOX of donuts to make your Thanksgiving morning extra sweet. Special Boxes are by preorder only and only available while supplies last. Donut delay.

Modern Family Dinners, NOW OPEN AT THE FIELDS: Two size options are available for pickup (4 person & 10-12 person) for your Thanksgiving feast. Choose, turkey and gravy or ham and glaze, salad and three Sides. Made just like your mom does it! Appetizers and desserts as well as all other items available a la carte as well. Order online by 2 p.m. November 15, pickup in store on Wednesday, 24th, Noon-6 p.m.

Party in a Pinch Catering: Orders must be placed by Friday, Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. Pick up Wednesday, Nov. 24 between 2-6 p.m. A complete meal serves 6-8 people and comes with choice of turkey or ham, three sides, and choice of pumpkin bars or pecan bars (for additional cost you can order a different dessert). Appetizers available for purchase include charcuterie pan, sausage cheese balls, veggie platter with ranch dip, or cheesy bacon bites. Large or small sides include stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, corn casserole, sweet potato souffle, green bean casserole, candied carrots, sautéed brussel sprouts, broccoli cauliflower salad, 7-layer salad, chicken and noodles, home made dinner rolls, or corn muffins. Piato Cafe, 804 E. Main St., Urbana: Order your choice of cider brined turkey with apples, oranges, peppercorns and onions, herb roasted turkey with rosemary, thyme, parsley, garlic, coriander, cumin, salt, pepper & olive oil, or a vegan dish of acorn stuffed squash filled with golden raisin and vegetable rice. Your choice of side includes rosemary & garlic-infused mashed potatoes, traditional mashed potatoes, maple walnut sweet potato mash, or homemade savory stuffing. Your choice of vegetable includes brandy & brown sugar glazed carrots, German style green beans with bacon and onions, or zucchini, yellow squash and carrot mix. Dessert includes pumpkin bread pudding with caramel sauce, white chocolate cranberry cheesecake, sweet potato pie with marshmallow meringu, or pear & cranberry tarts. All meals automatically come with gravy, pumpkin rolls, cranberry sauce and mixed greens salad with herb vinaigrette. Deadline for orders is Nov. 21 at noon. Pick up is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 25. The Cake Artist’s Studio, 1100 B, W. Bloomington Rd., Champaign: Choose between their featured fall cakes (caramel apple cider, brown sugar pumpkin, original oatmeal, pecan pie layer cake, cozy fire chocolate s’more cake roll, and more) as well as as assortment of pies, cookies, cake pops, petit fours, shortbread cookies, cookie bites, cake loaves, and their hostess holiday gift table. Order now through November 20. Order pickup on November 23 and 24 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

The New Sweet Indulgence, 2149 S. Neil St., Champaign: Take your choice of Thanksgiving sugar cookies, a delicious assortment of pies, tarts, dinner rolls, pie crusts, cakes, and cupcakes.  Also available are an assortment of cheesecake varieties as well was turkey cake truffles. Place your pre-order by noon on November 20 by calling 217-352-2433 or in person at the store.
