Krannert’s Classical Concerts– Tired of listening to your little ones’ favorite tunes? Ready for a more sophisticated night of music? The Krannert Center offers a number of classical chamber concerts throughout the month of November. Some tickets start as low as $10.
Much Ado About Nothing– Parkland Theatre presents this Shakespearean comedy Nov. 9-12 and 16-19 at The Harold and Jean Miner Theatre. Adults tickets are $15.
Lyle Lovett at the Virginia Theater– Lyle Lovett isn’t just famous for once being married to Julia Roberts. He’s also a veteran singer and songwriter. See Lovett, along with John Hiatt, perform in an intimate acoustic performance at the Virginia Theatre on Nov. 4. Tickets start at $37.50.
Thursday Night Trivia at JT Walker’s– Bring your group of one to six to enjoy an evening of fun questions, great food/drinks, and plenty of laughs! First and second place win prizes and third place gets to choose a category for the following week. Every Thursday in November.
Trippin Billies at the City Center– Are you a fan of the Dave Matthews Band? Then you’re going to want to see the Trippin Billies- “the nation’s most renowned, original and longest touring tribute to the Dave Matthews Band”- at the City Center on Nov. 3. Even if you’re not a diehard fan, we hear their music is still worth seeing.
BoDeans at The Canopy Club– Check out this rock band from Milwaukee that has been performing for the past 30 years. They have released 12 albums and worked with artists like U2, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Tom Petty, and more. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
Cheese Pairing Class– Make it a day date and spend a Sunday afternoon at Prairie Fruits Farm and Creamery. Learn a bit about cheese styles and how best to pair them with wine, beer, jams, honeys, pickled vegetables and fruits. Give your mouth a gustatory treat.
