Slither to Middle Fork River Forest Preserve to spend a special stretch studying spectacular scaly snakes during your spring break! Watch a presentation about the lifestyles of snakes that live among us, and get up close and personal with the Forest Preserves’ serpentine ambassador animals.
Then, take a guided hike (under 1 mile on uneven terrain) to search for evidence of snakes and other wildlife. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. Great for all ages.
FREE. NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED. For more info: (217) 896-2455 or Morgan at mduerksen-balk@ccfpd.org.
This program will be held at the Activity Center at Middle Fork River Forest Preserve.
Please remember that events may be canceled or rescheduled last minute due to unpredictable weather or other factors. We encourage you to reach out to event organizers before heading out to an event to verify it is still happening.
