The 2026 Mahomet Music Festival will be held August 28 and 29, 2026.
The Sangamon River Music Festival is now called the Mahomet Music Festival.
For over 30 years, the organizers have been bringing a FAMILY FRIENDLY festival to the great people of Mahomet and surrounding communities with the finest live bands that have ever plugged in their electric guitars!
Conveniently located along Main Street in Downtown Mahomet, IL, the Mahomet Music Festival is an annual tradition that brings life to the community. This annual festival takes place on the last Friday & Saturday of August each year.
They are proud to share that the festival is recognized as a premier event in the area and draws attendees as far away as Wisconsin, Missouri, and Indiana. With roughly 25,000 attendees throughout the weekend, they have reached a level in which this festival is recognized by the entertainers in Nashville as a festival to consider on their tour schedules. They continue to attract national name talent for their headliners each year and are excited to bring another well-known individual to the community.
