Let’s explore the night sky from our own backyards! Through the use of storytelling, poetry, and songs, children are encouraged to participate in the show while learning about the seasons, Ursa Major, planets, meteors, and the Moon. Narrated by Fred Penner.
Tickets are $8 for ages 13+ and $7 for Parkland Students, Children, Seniors, and Veterans/Military.
You can purchase tickets online by visiting tickets.parkland.edu or in person before the show.
The Staerkel Planetarium offers sensory-friendly shows, which feature “lights up, sound down” and have a relaxed atmosphere where patrons can come, go, and move around as needed.
These sensory-friendly shows are great for guests with autism spectrum disorder, sensory sensitivities, or young children. All are welcome, even if you don’t need sensory accommodations!
The sensory friendly documents page has information about their supports and digital copies of their social stories.
