The University of Illinois Wheelchair Basketball will play host to 4 Men’s teams and 3 Women’s teams at the ARC February 13-14, 2026. Across the two days, there will be 15 games played in Gym 1 at the ARC (201 E Peabody). We invite you to come and cheer us on and make it the fantastic home environment we know and love!
Where: University of Illinois, Activities and Recreation Center (201 E Peabody Champaign, IL 61820) Gym 1
When: Friday – First game is at 11am and last game is at 7pm. Saturday – First game is at 8am and last game is at 3:45pm.
Cost: Free entrance and no tickets. You just need to mention to the ARC staff that you are there for wheelchair basketball

Big Events: Friday night games (Women at 5pm vs Arizona, and Men at 7pm vs Auburn) are our Pack the House games! We will be doing an ORANGE OUT, so wear your best Illini Orange. At those two games, the world renowned Marching Illini and the Fighting Illini Cheerleaders will be filling the gym with the best sights and sounds any atmosphere can ask for! Saturday, the 1:45pm and 3:45pm games will be our Senior Night games, as we honor our 7 seniors in their final games at home in the orange and blue!
Interested in Repping Team Gear?: You can purchase Illinois Wheelchair Athletics gear thanks to our collaboration with Campus Ink. The team store is open until February 24th. There are items for both Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Track. You have the option to ship it to yourself or a pick up option. Illinois Wheelchair Basketball is the oldest adapted athletics program in the country dating back to 1948. Dr. Tim Nugent created the program at the University of Illinois satellite campus in Galesburg, IL. In the 74-year history of the program, the men’s and women’s wheelchair basketball teams have won a combined 29 National Championships.
