101.1 FM Illinois Soul celebrates two years amplifying Black voices and culture here in East-Central Illinois! What better way to throw an anniversary party than with food, friends, and great music provided by smooth jazz sensation MAYSA!
A GRAMMY Award nominee and recipient of the Soul Train’s Centric Award, MAYSA delivers a potent combination of smooth jazz and RnB that highlights her distinct honey-toned mezzo-soprano voice. She has worked with Stevie Wonder and the supergroup Incognito to critical acclaim. Her 14th album, Music For Your Soul, reached number 1 on the U.K. Soul charts and reaffirmed her position as a powerhouse in the music world.
Anniversaries are meant to be special. With Illinois Soul and MAYSA, February 7 at Krannert Center will be as special as it can get!
