It is a special pop-up edition of Growing Up in the Preserves! Join in at this session to hear a reading of the book Thanksgiving in the Woods, written by Phyllis Alsdurf and illustrated by Jenny Løvlie. Then, pretend to make and serve festive Thanksgiving dishes with a variety of natural loose parts, pots and pans, and a table big enough for everyone. Finally, sing and dance to the song Simple Gifts featured in the book.
In addition to families with preschoolers, daycare and preschool groups are welcome to attend. Dress for the weather and ground conditions (coldness and wetness) as the whole program is outdoors. For more info: (217) 896-2455 or Morgan at mduerksen-balk@ccfpd.org.
