The CU BIPOC Artist Collective in partnership with The Urbana Free Library will host a special gallery showcase featuring the collective work of local Black, Indigenous, and People of Color artists. This exhibition will show at the Artist of the Corridor Gallery Space at The Urbana Free Library from April 1 – June 30, 2024.
Join them on Friday afternoon on the main floor of the Library for an opening reception where you can learn more about the collective and meet the artists featured in the showcase. This event is free and open to the public.
The CU BIPOC Artist Collective is a partnership between the College of Fine & Applied Arts at University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign and the Urbana Arts & Culture program to foster connection, collaboration, and resource-sharing among self-identified Black, Indigenous, and People of Color artists and cultural producers to help guide equitable community and economic development in Urbana-Champaign and the surrounding area.
The Library is committed to making programs accessible for all. If you need an accommodation to attend a program, please let the Library know at least two weeks in advance. To request an accommodation, contact the Programming and Outreach Manager via email at programming@urbanafree.org or via phone at 217-367-4057.
