Crystal Lake Park
40 North and the Urbana Park District are thrilled to announce the inaugural Crystal Lake Park Art Fair in Urbana, IL!
On August 3rd, 2019, there will be another amazing facet to our community’s art scene and Crystal Lake Park will be transformed with local and regional art vendors that will set up along the park road and feature paintings, textiles, ceramics, photography, jewelry, glass, mixed media and much more!
The Urbana Park District has an Arts & Culture team that recently developed arts initiatives like the installation of a new barn quilt at Meadowbrook Park and the creation of a community mural at King Park. This new partnership with 40 North to present the Crystal Lake Park Art Fair continues to strengthen their mission to ensure that everyone feels welcome at Urbana Park District facilities, parks, and programs. Crystal Lake Park is the oldest in the Urbana Park District, acquired in 1907. Today, Crystal Lake Park totals 90.4 acres. Features include the lake, Crystal Lake Park Family Aquatic Center, picnic pavilions, the Lake House, an adjacent 59-acre old-growth forest nature preserve called Busey Woods, a nature playscape, a labyrinth, playground equipment, fishing piers, flower beds, horseshoe pits, open fields, walking/biking trails, and a sledding hill. The Urbana Park District is excited to add the Crystal Lake Park Art Fair to the many district special events and summer camp programs held in the park.
