SCHEDULE

{There will be no youth run or 5K for 2025}

4:30pm – Parade (new start time and route)

Starts at Kirby and Fourth Street, heads north to Gregory, goes west to First Street, south to Kirby and back to Fourth Street between the State Farm Center and Memorial Stadium (NEW ROUTE! U of I Homecoming Parade Route)

6 p.m. – Evening Entertainment – Nathan Applegate & a five piece band of local musicians

Dusk – Fireworks!

Evening program with music, food trucks, face painting for $5, flag ceremony with a singing of the National Anthem then the FIREWORKS at 9:15pm with a 4th of July soundtrack synchronized with the pyrotechnics, heard on Lite Rock 97.5  That Kid Place Sensory Museum on site with BUBBLES (bring towel/possible change of clothes if kids want to play in the foam)

The theme for this year’s celebration – “Celebrate the Pride of America’s Heartland” – gives a nod to our agriculture industry

The annual Fourth of July celebration was first held in 1949. For more information, visit the website or follow on Facebook.

Volunteers are needed. this year on July 3rd, 4th, and 5th. If you would like to offer support, click here and pick a time that works best for you.
