The Center for Children’s Books (CCB) would like to invite you to their Twenty-First Annual Book Sale. They are selling hundreds of new children’s books for youth ages 0-18. Their titles represent the full spectrum of children’s publishing in fiction and non-fiction: board books, picture books, easy and transitional readers, chapter books, series fiction, novels, activity books and kits, non-fiction series, mass-market paperbacks, and more.
The pre-sale and the general sale will both be inside the building at 614 E Daniel Street.
General Sale Details
On April 23 from 12-6 p.m., they will have their general sale. All are welcome and it will be open to the public. Admission for that day is free. Books range in price from $1-$5, with other items priced as marked. All proceeds support the CCB and the Bulletin of the Center for Children’s Books.
Pre-Sale – Registration Required
For best selection, come to the pre-sale on Saturday, April 22 from 12-6 p.m. They will have 25 spots available, and admission is $20 per person and can be paid at the door. They will begin accepting reservations starting on April 1st, 2023, on a first come first served basis. Claim your spot by sending your name and contact information to bccb@illinois.edu. Once you sign up, you will receive a confirmation email. If you decide you no longer wish to attend the pre-sale, just let them know and they will pass your spot on to the next person on the waitlist. Please note that they are working remotely and will not be able to respond to phone calls easily.
