ALL community members are invited to the 2026 Fall Book Sale at the Center for Children’s Books, held on-site at the 501 E. Daniel iSchool building. As they turn over their stacks, they give it all over to you: board books, nonfiction, middle grade, picture books, graphic novels, and YA titles from the last five years in children’s publishing will all be available for purchase. They also offer discounted prices to ALL practicing librarians and U. of I. students and researchers, so come early to pick up books that diversify your shelves, expand your research, and uplift innovative creators in the children’s book and youth service industry.
The sale will go on from 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.
Please remember that events may be canceled or rescheduled last minute due to unpredictable weather or other factors. We encourage you to reach out to event organizers before heading out to an event to verify it is still happening.
