Enjoy a day at the Beckman Institute Open House from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, March 31, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 1.
This in-person activity is located at 405 N. Mathews Ave., Urbana.
This open house will feature more than 30 exhibits, run by current Beckman staff, faculty members, and students. They’ll include:
Close encounters (of the microscopic kind)
Make-a-molecule
How reading changes your mind
You can also go on a science scavenger hunt, take a photo in a lab coat and goggles at the selfie station, and grab lunch at the Beckman Café. They will also be screening “The Instrumental Chemist,” a one-hour documentary on the life of Arnold O. Beckman, in their auditorium.
Beckman Institute Open House happens at the same time as Engineering Open House. Head to the UIUC campus for a day of learning and fun.
