Girl Scout cookie sales are already underway for Girl Scouts in Central Illinois. During these next several weeks, you can get your annual Girl Scout cookie fix from individual girls, at booth sales or online. In addition, you can donate boxes of cookies to first responders, the military, and other organizations.
What if you seek an even more delectable Girl Scout cookie experience? Several area businesses are running limited-time specials of treats made using the cookies, or even inspired by them. We map out what we know below.
Jarling’s Custard Cup (Champaign)
If you have had the chance to experience the Jarling’s Custard Cup/Girl Scout cookie mashup in the past, you are probably awaiting this special time as eagerly as we are. From Thin Mint or Caramel DeLite snowstorms to sundaes for the kids, Girl Scout cookies make a super tasty mix-in option for your favorite Jarling’s creation.
Select Girl Scout cookies were available as mix-ins or as toppings at Jarling’s through Feb. 22. Jarling’s purchases its cookie supply from Champaign-Urbana area troops — it looks like it plans to have Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties, and Caramel deLites on hand this year.

Be on the lookout for Girl Scout Croughnuts at Pekara Bistro and Martinelli’s Market, both in Champaign … and possibly at the Champaign-Urbana Winter Farmer’s Market inside Urbana’s Lincoln Square Mall. In the past, we have loved the Thin Mint (the classic croughnut dipped in chocolate icing and topped with thin mint cookies and green sprinkles) and Toast Yay (a churro croughnut dipped in a maple syrup glaze and topped with toast yay cookies) seasonal croughnut specials.
Whisk Coffee and Wine Bar (Mahomet)
Can we reveal a best-kept secret? Whisk has been making frappes and mochas with caramel delights, peanut butter patties, and thin mints from time to time during cookie season.
