The new school year brings with it a renewed sense of school pride. So one of the natural questions becomes: How can I buy some merchandise to show off my school spirit?

Depending on where you live, and which Champaign-Urbana area school you support, there are options available. We’ve highlighted several of those below, but feel free to drop us an email to alert us to those opportunities we haven’t listed.

First, it is important to note that many schools offer merchandise at their home football games. Most schools also have an online shop in which to purchase many types of apparel, and local businesses in your school’s community often have special-order opportunities or a website through which fans can make their own special orders.

But you can also find some in-person buying opportunities at the following locations:
- Meijer: The Meijer in Urbana offers merchandise featuring the Urbana High School logo, while the Meijer in Champaign has clothing for Champaign Central and Centennial fans.
- CVS: The Savoy always has a couple racks of clothing for Unity and Champaign Central fans. Why just those two schools? No idea, but both schools have the same dominant color (maroon).
- Yellow and Co.: Mahomet-Seymour fans can find merch for their favorite school at this popular Mahomet store.
Other ideas:
- The Future Business Leaders of America groups at both Central and Centennial raise funds for their organization by making shirts for any school. Contact the school for more info.
- Looking to save a little money? Perhaps make a visit to the Champaign Public Library or similar place that offers Cricut machines, which can be used to make custom t-shirts, for example. Plenty of YouTube tutorials give users advice on how to do this.
