Spring break camps and childcare in Champaign-Urbana

 

For many, spring break isn’t a break at all — just another week of the year when the kids aren’t in school.

If you’re looking for spring break childcare there are a bunch of options in Champaign-Urbana, mostly for children of elementary age. So what did we do? We made a list! These options span March 13-14 and March 17-21, unless noted otherwise. Nearly all spring break programming in Champaign-Urbana is per-day registration, though some locations will offer a discount if you sign up for all days in the week.

Spring Break Camps

Chambanamoms thanks Champaign Gymnastics Academy (CGA) for presenting this guide.

Enroll your gymnast in CGA’s all-day Spring Break Camp! Families can sign up for one day or all five. Activities include gymnastics instruction, games, arts and crafts, obstacle courses, movies, and more, catering to all skill levels.
For ages 4 years old – 7th grade.

Champaign Park District

The Champaign Park District has a variety of programming when school is out. Children should bring a morning snack and sack lunch. No peanut/nut products, please. A number of field trips are planned; check out this link for detailed plans for each day.

Ages Served: Kindergarten-5th grade

Locations: Leonhard Recreation Center

Dates: March 13-14, March 17-21

Stephens Family YMCA

Spring Break School’s Out Days are currently full, waiting list is available. 

School’s Out Care curriculum includes supervised free play, interactive group games, crafts and indoor/outdoor physical exercise. Due to the staff and student ratios upheld by the YMCA, advance registration is required. Advance registration is required.

Dates: March 13-14, March 17-21, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

Ages: Grades K-5

Stephens Family Y camp


Urbana Park District

Kick back and spend your spring break exploring, playing games, and making crafts! Bring a morning snack, lunch, and water bottle daily, and remember to dress for mess. Afternoon snack will be provided. Camp drop-off begins at 7:30 a.m. and scheduled activities begin by 9 a.m.

Dates: March 17-21, 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Ages: 6-12 years old

College for Kids – Parkland College

CFK Spring Break! Explore culinary and visual art classes taught by CFK instructors. Browse classes and register today at parkland.edu/ceRegister ; length depends on the course. (NOTE: these are not full-day camps.)

Flavors of Indo-Chinese: A Fun Cooking Class
