For many of us, kids are getting ready to go back to school and the holidays are behind us, so we can settle into our winter options for family fun in Champaign-Urbana.

The jury is still out on when we’ll have real snow in Champaign-Urbana, but outdoor fun is always a hit if you dress for it. Our Champaign County Forest Preserves are beautiful right now and a hike at Allerton Park is always a hit, too.. If you’d like to squeeze in a day of wintery fun, you might consider ice skating (and we can tell you where to go). Enjoy this beginning to winter!
