United Way Website Provides Resources for Preschool-Age Children

July 17, 2024 By From The Editors

The United Way of Champaign County has fashioned a new website to promote a community-wide initiative for the betterment of preschool-age children.

Readtalkplay.org is the homepage for the program that seeks to help kids 5-and-under and their families with resources for reading, talking and playing every day. The Read.Talk. Play. Every Day! program will help children be prepared for entering kindergarten.

Sara Beth Cook of Surface 51 was part of the team that produced the new site.

“It started off as a single page, and we developed the brand identity, logo marks and color and give it flavor of its own,” Cook said.

The website lists local resources, has info on everything from doctors visits to potty training, and offers helpful tips on parental topics applicable to many areas of raising a young child. Users can also schedule developmental checkups and reach local experts with questions they have.

For more information, visit the site here.
