Juneteenth, Father’s Day, and just a plain old summer weekend are all reasons to celebrate that the weekend is almost here

Families can choose from a myriad of events and activities this week in Champaign-Urbana

We are definitely excited for this weekend in Champaign-Urbana because there are SO MANY different opportunities to celebrate this weekend. Many community organizations are hosting Juneteenth celebrations on Saturday this weekend. Sunday brings Father’s Day, full of events and different ways to celebrate. Maybe dining out with Dad? Hit one of our food trails that you think he will love. Hint: BBQ is a popular choice among the dad crowd.

Regardless of what you’re doing, you need to make sure you stay cool during this heat wave. Visit a pool, a splash pad or just a nicely air-conditioned, outside-of-the-box location here in Champaign-Urbana. Stay cool and celebrate!
