As you celebrate mom this weekend, you can celebrate a gorgeous spring weekend at the same time
Families can choose from a myriad of events and activities this week in Champaign-Urbana
It is Mother’s Day weekend! That means that, this weekend more than ever, it is a great reason to celebrate and enjoy special time with (or without) your loved ones, depending on what your mom’s day plans look like. Reading this and thinking about what to do for a special mom in your life? (Ahem, dads.) Get some ideas here on how to make this weekend special, on any budget. Hint: Mom doesn’t want to cook for as much of this weekend as possible.
Finding a spot to eat may be challenging, as this is also graduation weekend at the University of Illinois, but we have some guidance for you here on finding a spot for Mother’s Day brunch.
chambanamoms.com thanks Urbana Park District for presenting this weekend’s planner
Urbana Park District wants you to know that you can buy 2023 memberships and passes to Crystal Lake Park Family Aquatic Center.
Buy a season-long membership or purchase a five or 10-admission punch pass. Buy the memberships and passes in person at Phillips Recreation Center or Urbana Indoor Aquatic Center. Passes are valid from May 27 – September 4, 2023.
A few events to check out this weekend
Looking for something to do with your family? You’ve come to the right place! Our events calendar aggregates family-friendly events happening in the Champaign-Urbana metro area. We know you’re busy and looking for a bang for your buck, so we put an emphasis on including free and low-cost events that you can plan to attend on the fly. Please note that events are subject to change without notice.
Remember, as we head into spring outdoor events, that many sporting events and outdoor activities are subject to change without notice or at the last minute. Check with event organizers when in doubt before heading out to an event.
