COVID-19 Vaccine for Ages 12-15 Available Beginning May 13

Following the Food and Drug Administration’s emergency authorization of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for ages 12-15, Champaign County residents in that age group will have access to the shot as soon as Thursday, May 13.

According to the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District:

Anyone 12 years of age or older is now able to receive the Pfizer vaccine. Moderna and Johnson & Johnson are available to individuals age 18 and older. The following clinics are currently available to those meeting age requirements based on the manufacturer’s guidance and who live or work in Champaign County. Parental consent is needed for anyone under the age of 18.

 

Parkland College, 2400 W. Bradley Ave., M-4 Parking Lot, Champaign.

  • Pfizer vaccinations available Thursday (5/13) and Thursday (5/20) from 3:00 – 7:00 PM
  • Use the following QR code to schedule your appointment, or walk-up during event hours.

Kohl’s Plaza, 1901 N. Market Street, Champaign.

  • First-dose appointments (Pfizer) at Kohl’s Plaza will be:
    • Friday (5/14) and Saturday (5/15) from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
    • Sunday (5/16) from 8:00 AM – noon
    • Monday (5/17) from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Call (217) 902-6100 to schedule or use MyCarle for the fastest service. Walk-in appointments also available.

Champaign-Urbana Public Health District, 201 W. Kenyon Road, Champaign.

  • Walk-in appointments available each Friday from 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM.
  • Individuals or families with special needs or disabilities who need support with vaccine clinics, please call (217) 531-5365 and a nurse will come to your vehicle to provide the vaccination.

Promise Healthcare, 819 Bloomington Road, Champaign.

  • Call the COVID Care line at: (217) 403-5402.
  • Individuals will need to register as a patient.

Pharmacies:

  • Visit www.vaccinefinder.org for available COVID-19 vaccination appointments at local pharmacies.
