The Taste of Champaign is celebrating its 50th birthday this year but, of course, it will happen in a most unique way.
The regular Taste was canceled due to COVID-19; the show will go on, however, in a different format. Instead of vendors setting up in the park, they will be featured on the Champaign Park District’s digital platforms from Aug. 10-16. Each day restaurants and artists will be featured, with the community encouraged to visit or patronize those businesses.

The Taste would have celebrated its 50th birthday in style in August. Previous versions have showcased a wide variety of Champaign-Urbana’s restaurants and food trucks, alongside a bevy of artists, crafts, live music and children’s activities, including the Chambanamoms Kids Zone.
