The childcare portion of the Lodgic Everyday Community opens at 6:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 12.
Kids Camp is a drop-in service available for those ages 1-12. It is billed as a “play-based, values-based and social skills based” curriculum.
Children are divided into age-appropriate rooms (1-2 years; 2-5 years; 5-12 years) experience a structured environment with multiple facets of learning. (See more detail here.)
An annual membership fee ($60) must be purchased, and “pay as you go” rates begin at $12 per hour ($5 per hour additional child). Hourly package rates are available. To get started, parents must fill out and bring paperwork required by Department of Child and Family Services, available on the Lodgic website.
Children also receive meals and snacks as required by DCFS. Children will be served according to the meal and snack schedule. No food is permitted to be brought into Kids Camp and, as such, parents will be charged ($5 per meal, $3 per snack) for every meal period in which a child is present, whether the child chooses to eat or not. All meals are served family style, with teachers eating as well, to encourage good table manners and social skills.
More information is available on the Kids Camp portion of the Lodgic website.
