Champaign’s Bristol Park Begins Makeover

August 13, 2018 By From The Editors

Crews on Monday, Aug. 13, began dismantling and removing play equipment at Bristol Park in preparation for city’s renovation of the Bristol Place neighborhood.

According to the Champaign Park District, the Bristol Park will be fenced for restricted access during construction.

A new playground is scheduled to be installed and “additional amenities may include outdoor fitness equipment, a pavilion and a pedestrian bridge across Boneyard Creek.” Construction is expected to be completed in 2019.

Those looking for nearby parks can visit Hazel Park at 1209 N. Neil St., and Beardsley Park at 1006 N. Walnut St.
