Welcome to the chambanamoms event submission form! Our goal is to have the most complete calendar of family-oriented events in the Champaign-Urbana metro area. That’s why we search for events that are family-friendly, easy on the family budget (or even better, FREE!), and that are easy to attend without much advance planning. Our advice: • Be descriptive. Not everyone will understand acronyms or esoteric language. • Be unique. “Story Time” makes yours one of many story times. “Story time at XXX” makes you unique.

Our advice: • Read some of our calendar listings before you write. Get a sense of how much detail is too much. • Tell the readers the age groups for which the event is appropriate. • Include sources for more information such as phone numbers and Web sites. • Include ticket prices and how to purchase them.

Our advice: use the name that’s on the sign out front. Not everyone understands local nicknames of buildings.
