About Chambanamoms.com

When chambanamoms.com was launched in November of 2009, my co-founder and I knew we were filling a need.

Champaign-Urbana is a great place to raise your kids — we heard that over and over, but we realized there was no one place moms could go to find all the wonderful services, events and places that make Champaign-Urbana such a family-friendly place in which to live.

Laura Weisskopf Bleill is the Mom-in-Chief of chambanamoms.com.

We had no idea then that chambanamoms.com would grow into what it is today: the definitive resource for families living in and around Champaign-Urbana.

Over the years our mission and values haven’t changed, despite the remarkable growth of our online community (that spills offline, too). We are just as committed to bringing you the best way to tap outstanding local family and parenting resources. We believe that this is a fantastic place to raise a family, no matter what that family looks like.

Most of all, our site is about community. Our content might be kid/mom/parent focused, but our end goal is to enrich the ENTIRE community — and continue to be enriched by the community in which we live. In fact, one of the best complements we receive is “I’m not a mom and I read your site.”

Chambanamoms.com was created for you, so we want to hear what features, stories and functionality will continue to make our site your go-to resource. Any and all suggestions and constructive criticism are welcome: contact us anytime with your input. (We are a very small operation, but we strive to get back to you quickly!) You can also find us on Twitter and Facebook (and Pinterest and FourSquare and our email newsletter and Instagram and many more)!

How can you help us?

If you spend a lot of time in Champaign-Urbana, we hope you’ll share your best tips with us. Share any upcoming events by filling out the form here. And tell your friends (Facebook and real life!).

Thank you for reading chambanamoms.com.
