Join the Urbana Arts and Culture Program and The Urbana Free Library on Zoom for the next installment of Young Artist’s Studio!
In this interactive lesson, young creatives will create paper butterflies for inclusion into the Thriving Together exhibit at Lincoln Square Mall! The New American Welcome Center and I.D.E.A. Store, with support from The Refugee Center, are joining together for the Thriving Together Community Art Installation which invites local community members to create butterfly artwork through free recycled art materials kits. Butterflies will be collected and displayed in a public installation during National Immigrant Welcoming Week.
After registering online, you may pick up your craft packet beginning August 7 by stopping by the Circulation Desk or calling Curbside Pick up at 367-4057.
The Young Artist’s Studio is a series of art workshops sponsored by The Urbana Free Library and The Urbana Arts & Culture Program designed to offer youth an opportunity to explore the arts. All events in the series are free and open to the public. The series is designed for children ages 5 to 11 (7 and under with a caregiver).
Please register here through the Library’s event calendar. They will email a link and a phone number to the email you provide in your registration so that you can join the group online with Zoom.
Though this program is online, the Library reminds everyone to be as courteous and kind as they would be at a program in the Library.
