The same day this group will gather for Whine to Wisdom, the launch of the Women’s Professional Baseball League marks a historic milestone for women’s sports right here in Illinois!
But while headlines celebrate what is happening on the field, they want to shine a light on the women making it happen behind the scenes.
Today, women’s sports are changing the world. Female athletes, Olympians, coaches, executives, and leaders are redefining what leadership looks like. They’re speaking openly about their mental health, physical well-being, personal challenges, and the realities they’ve faced along the way. They’re showing everyone that strength isn’t about perfection—it’s about authenticity, resilience, and having the courage to use your voice.
And that’s exactly why this event matters.

Whine to Wisdom is an evening dedicated to celebrating the women whose stories often go untold.
Three featured speakers will share honest, powerful 3–5 minute talks about their journeys—the good, the bad, and the ugly. Through sports-related experiences and life lessons, they will share how they’ve navigated setbacks, found their voices, overcome obstacles, and continued moving forward.
