Join the fun on Saturday, January 28 to watch the Fighting Illini Women’s Gymnastics team square off against Nebraska during the I AM meet and learn all about self love.
All gymnastics meets are free and open to the public.
The U of I Gymnastics team will be hosting a Kids’ Clinic following the meet. The clinic will start at approximately 4pm. Given the exact timing of live sports is unpredictable, it may begin up to half an hour later.
To join the clinic, a parent or legal guardian will need to register their kid via the following link:
At the end of the meet, those participating in the clinic will be asked to remain in their seats. They will have a quick rundown of some of the rules and regulations to follow to abide by the safety policy while the team gets ready to transition from competing to teaching.
Once the team is ready, the participants will be addressed by Head Coach Nadalie Walsh, and will be broken into groups. From there they will rotate between the events and will be shown how to properly use each apparatus, as well as learning basic gymnastics skills from the athletes.
Parking, admission to the meet as well as the clinic are all free.
