Join special guest Artist-in-Residence Nika Lucks during Teen Open Lab for a cosplay workshop from 3:00 – 4:30 pm.
Create a character and backstory and bring them to life for a mini cosplay photoshoot over three Wednesdays in January (15, 22, 29).
Nika Lucks is serving as an Artist-in-Residence at The Urbana Free Library from January – March 2025. Nika Lucks is a self-described multi-dimensional artist, a photo artist, graphic designer, and crafter. As an after-school educator, Nika brings a sense of adventure, art, and creativity whether it’s technology instruction or cosplay workshops. With this grant, Nika looks forward to sharing the joy of art and creativity with the wider community.
Enjoy Teen Open Lab most Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons. Each week, rotating themed activities will be featured. Makerspace materials like sewing machines, 3D printers, vinyl sticker cutters, etc., will always be available.
