The Monticello community is invited to celebrate another season of music at the Summer Singers Finale Concert on Sunday, August 16, at 3:00 p.m. at Monticello United Methodist Church, 2020 E. Washington Street, Monticello.
A favorite annual program of the City of Monticello Parks and Recreation Department, the Summer Singers brings together volunteer vocalists ranging in age from 18 to 80, creating a unique intergenerational choir united by a love of music and community.
Under the direction of Mayor Stoner himself, the choir will present an entertaining and inspiring afternoon featuring a wide variety of musical selections. The concert repertoire includes patriotic favorites, beloved Broadway classics, and other audience-pleasing selections designed to appeal to music lovers of all ages.
For many years, the Summer Singers has been one of MPRD’s most popular summer traditions, welcoming experienced singers and newcomers alike in a fun, relaxed environment. The finale concert provides the perfect opportunity for family, friends, and community members to enjoy the results of weeks of rehearsal and to support local volunteer musicians.
Admission is free, and everyone is welcome to attend.
Please remember that events may be canceled or rescheduled last minute due to unpredictable weather or other factors. We encourage you to reach out to event organizers before heading out to an event to verify it is still happening.
