Spurlock Museum of World Cultures
This Spurlock Sunday family event will be a celebration of Japanese chigiri-e. In this artform, artists create pictures by gluing hand-torn pieces of thin, colored paper to a plain background. Completed artworks often resemble watercolor paintings. The program is free and everyone is welcome.
This event is part of the Museum’s Spurlock Sunday series. These free, drop-in programs are held on the second Sunday of the month from 1:00–3:30 pm and are open to visitors of all ages. Spurlock Sunday activities can include crafts, performances, and hands-on experiences with cultural artifacts.
