The Smoke N’ Octane 2026 festival in Monticello, IL is scheduled for Saturday, July 25, 2026. Hosted by the Monticello Recreation Foundation, the event features a backyard-style BBQ competition, a massive vehicle show, and community activities in the downtown area.

- Entry Fee: $15 per motorized vehicle or motorcycle.
- Awards: Plaques are awarded for the Top 20 vehicles, Top 3 motorcycles, and “Best in Show.”
- Style: Backyard-style competition focusing on three meats: Brisket, Pork shoulder, and Chicken.
- Judging: Entries are evaluated on appearance, taste, texture, and tenderness.
- Registration: The competition is limited to 15 teams, and the entry fee is $30.
