Science on Tap is a discussion series for the community led by graduate students in the School of Molecular and Cellular Biology. Hosted by the MCB Graduate Student Association and held at Riggs Beer Company in Urbana.
This November 19th at 2-3 p.m., the group will be joined by Sophie Larsen from the Program of Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology for their talk WHO GETS SICK AND WHY: FROM COVID TO THE COMMON COLD. Come learn about the many factors that influence why some people never seem to get sick, but others might have severe outcomes from common respiratory diseases.
The group will chat about a range of drivers: socioeconomic status, history of previous infections, and vaccines!
