Karla Moller, Assoc. Dean for Graduate Programs in Education and Ashley E. Dawson, doctoral candidate will share examples of image-rich picture books and graphic books that engage children and adolescents and invite reflection on diverse themes through visual storytelling. They will explore how responding to visuals enhances enjoyment, comprehension, and self-expression across ages and will lead a discussion about the inter[lay of image and text in visually rich books from early readers through adolescents.
