Learn how to design, install, and maintain beautiful rain gardens through the East Central Illinois Rainscaping Education Program. This FREE, hands-on program gives you practical skills to manage stormwater and protect local waterways.
The training will cover the fundamentals of rain gardens and provide practical instruction on designing, installing, and maintaining them. The program is designed for homeowners, landscape professionals, and anyone interested in incorporating sustainable stormwater management practices into their landscapes.
As part of the hands-on experience, participants will have the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice during a rain garden installation Sept. 23 near the University of Illinois Arboretum parking lot. Participants will help install a rain garden and gain firsthand experience with the process. The rain date for the installation is Sept. 25.
