PYGMALION takes place September 26-28, 2019 in Urbana-Champaign, Illinois at a variety of venues around the elder of the two cities, Urbana.
Since 2005, the programming at PYGMALION has sought to engage the community of Champaign-Urbana, Illinois with the newest and most vital live music it can afford.
Over the years, it has grown from simply being a music festival, and into a multi-disciplinary event. In 2019, we have shed the festival moniker in favor of a singular identity within the idea of an event that envelopes Music, Literature, Technology, Food, Makers, Comedy, Podcasts, Science, Arts and more.
Of course PYGMALION is a festival, one that appears look like any other, on its face. But look closer, and you will see radical differences in what we’re doing versus what we’ve done, and what others do. It is in this disparate idea of what this can be where we thrive.
2019’s installment is our 15 year anniversary. We are grateful to everyone who has supported us over the years, and hope you will join us this September for another wonderful weekend of cultural engagement, and a helluva good time.
