OWL PROWL
Interpretive Center, Homer Lake Forest Preserve, 5-7 p.m.
Why prowl for owls now? Many species are most active in the winter months, because they are breeding or nesting. That means you have a better chance of hearing or seeing a live owl in the wild! This program begins indoors with a presentation, and participants will have the chance to dissect owl pellets and take them home. Then, the group will hit the trails to call and search for owls! Recommended for ages 4 and up.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
$5 per person.
Space is limited; registration required by January 25 at ccfpd.org.
All attendees (adults and children) must register in advance. Current public health guidelines will be followed. Program may be altered or canceled due to weather or health-related concerns. For more info: (217) 896-2455 or jwick@ccfpd.org.
