“Musical Colors” A Joint Concert by the Orchestra, Concert Band, and Wind Ensemble

The Parkland Orchestra, directed by Dr. Rodney Mueller, will perform the overture to “The Magic Flute” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791), “America the Beautiful” by Samuel A Ward (1847- 1903) and arranged by Alfred Reed, “The Star Wars Epic-Part II” (1977) by John Williams (1932-), “Procession of the Nobles from MLADA – suite” by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov (1844-1908).

Director Dr. Jonathan Beckett will lead the Wind Ensemble in performing “Ouvre Ton Coeur (Open Thy Heart)” by Georges Bizet (1838-1875), “Fortress” by Frank Ticheli (1958- ), “Their Blossoms Down” by Samuel R. Hazo (1966- ), “Mars from “The Planets” by Gustav Holst (1874-1934).

The Parkland Concert Band, directed by Dr. Matthew Dixon, will perform “The Greatest Generation by Julie Giroux, “In the Gloaming” by Annie F. Harrison arranged for band by Fred K. Huffer, “Elegy” for Albinoni by Shelley Hanson, “Songs of Israel” By Annie McGinty
