MUSEUM MONDAYS: CARS AND TRUCKS AND THINGS THAT GO!
Museum of the Grand Prairie, Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
For thousands of years, humans have used wheels to transport themselves and items much faster than the speed of our own two legs. In the past 100 years, all sorts of vehicles have revolutionized our daily lives in more ways than we realize. Speed into the museum for a morning full of historical items and activities centered on motorcycles, cars, busses, trucks, trains, and many more vehicles with more than two wheels. Also, participate in “Touch-A-Truck” where they will have unique vehicles you can learn about and talk to their drivers!
FREE. Space is limited. Registration required by July 16 at ccfpd.org. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Current public health guidelines will be followed; see CCFPD’s Covid Guidelines and Waiver for In-person Programs. Programs may be cancelled due to weather or COVID-19 related concerns. For more info: (217) 586-2612 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
