Preparations for Christmas start and finish with a special drive through event on our campus: Luminaries of Hope and Live Nativity.

Cunningham Children’s Home will host its special holiday drive thru event: 4th Annual Luminaries of Hope and Live Nativity, December 8th and 9th from 6–8 p.m. Along with a live nativity, Cunningham’s campus, located at 1301 N. Cunningham Avenue in Urbana, will be lit up with hundreds of luminaries, including 846 Luminaries of Hope, representing each of the youth, adults and families the agency served this year through its residential, educational and community-based services.

Luminaries of Hope also celebrates and honors Cunningham’s lights of hope, Judge Joseph and Mary Cunningham, whom with giving hearts, had the desire to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in need. They are the reason Cunningham Children’s Home has existed for more than 128 years and has helped so many in need.

For $10, the public can purchase a luminary, in honor or memory of someone special, to be included along the drive. Learn more HERE.

For a suggested donation of $5, the community is invited to drive through the campus and enjoy this special event. When guests arrive, they will receive a program featuring the names of all who have purchased luminaries of hope and the names for whom they are honoring or memorializing.
